Michael Cox is a professional photographer and amateur astronomer based in Tucson, Arizona. He has a very technical based background including 6.5 years in the Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician, and over 25 years of experience in the chemical and digital based darkrooms.

Michael specializes in night sky and astrophotography, but will often find his curiosity peaked by various subjects and avenues of the photographic field. Some of his recent projects include: chemical platinotypes that include a combination of platinum, palladium, and iridium, and digital images of deep sky objects while working for the University of Arizona SkyCenter.
